Automatically update the copyright information of your wordpress site

add copyright warning automatically
Written by Tariqul42

I see many bloggers and website owners forget to update the copyright information of their blog/website. Though they need to change it once a year but they can’t change it as long as a visitor notice them. Having a copyright notice with correct information is very important and it also ensures that your website is updated. When a blogger update his copyright information, he simply goes to editor>footer.php>find out 2011 and changes it to 2012. But here is an option to update your copyright information automatically every year. Just find out the part with copyright notice and replace it with following code.

Instead of 2012 use <?php echo date(‘Y’); ?>. It will automatically show the year and © creates a copyright © logo. Some people do copyright from the year their blog started. The code they use something like bellow.

note: it will work only in wordpress or in php supported site.
